Econoclasts is a La Trobe University Intellectual Climate Fund supported Zoom event to foster discussion between economists and artists about (1) the issues that will impact on future careers of artists and (2) how creative practice can help amplify progressive economic messaging and shape our future. The forum includes speakers from the independent economic and social policy research institute Per Capita, artist led economics pedagogy Marrickville School of Economics, and graduate researchers from Latrobe University Creative Arts. Date: Thursday 16 July 5.30 – 7.30. All welcome. Register here:  https://econoclasts.eventbrite.com.au

Below are a couple of excellent short papers by the speakers which would be good to download and have a peek at before the event, plus my suggestion for ‘what next’ after the forum:

Some-facts-about-debt_Per Capita myth busting paper

Rebecca Conroy_Marrickville School of Economics_paper on artist led economy

What next after this event? A modest proposal
