On Sunday 22nd May at 6.00pm, I’ll be holding a video event at Longplay, Melbourne’s grooviest micro-cinema and bar (318 St George’s Rd, North Fitzroy, near corner of Holden St). I’ll be showing some videos and telling some stories about my USA adventures thus far, including the world premiere of Skeltys and Foley: The Journey of the Band of Discovery, a short film about the music road trip through the Appalachians that I undertook with fellow Aussie musician Lucy Foley in October 2010. I’ll be joined by Nick Meyers, Australia’s finest film editor and all around entertainer. Nick will be sharing some of his rare and saucy sci-fi cult films from the 50s, 60s and ’70s.
